A little about Watson
because we just love to tell the world...
Watson is located at the junction of two major highways in east central Saskatchewan. Our world class location offers ease of transportation to international markets by Highways #5 and #6, as well as the CNR and CPR railways.
We are in the heart of a major rural industrial area.
Grain and livestock make up the core of our strong agricultural base. A variety of agricultural services and supplies are readily available.
Watson is an exceptional town in which to raise a family with many recreational activities.
The local area provides plentiful opportunities for hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities. We have easy access to a wide range of lakes and provincial parks.
Mayor's Message
Welcome to the Town of Watson, “Home of the Original Santa Claus Day”.
We are very proud of the wide variety of businesses and services our
town has to offer!
Recreation facilities include an arena, numerous ball diamonds, and McNab Regional Park complete with campgrounds, a swimming pool and beautiful 9 hole grass green golf course. There is also a museum, bowling lanes and many other amenities.
The modern health clinic, public housing and Quill Plains Centennial Lodge special care home provide social and health care for all ages.
A concentration of successful manufacturing and service industries are located in Watson and nearby communities providing employment and economic stimulus to the entire area. The town is also fortunate to be home to a full complement of trades.
Watson is preparing for the expansion of the potash industry in the area. Reasonably priced, newly developed residential lots are available. We are looking forward to an exciting future for the Town of Watson. Come for a visit or give us a call to see what Watson can offer you!
